Where does candle wax come from?
At our candle co we use plant based vegan soy wax in our products. Our vegan wax is sustainably sourced and harvested from the oil of soybeans.
What is the burn time of my candle?
Our burn times vary for each candle size. Small is 15 hours, medium is 30 hours, and large is 45 hours on average. A natural candle will burn slower than one made with petroleum.
How often should I trim my wick?
We're hoping you'll get into the habit of trimming your wick before every burn, in every size of our glass jar candles. This helps achieve a clean and even, slower burn for your scented soy wax.
What scent should I choose?

Are candles better than melts?
We believe this is an entirely personal preference. People sometimes prefer one than the other, or some like to use a mixture throughout their home. If you're looking for hygge vibes, the glow from a candle provides ultimate cosiness. Candles are also a great gift idea.
Whereas, melts can be a great way to try a new fragrance without the commitment. Reminder - be sure to use an unscented tealight so as not to affect your fragrance.
Are scented soy candles vegan?
Yes. Our vegan scented candles made from soy wax. At Só Soy we have a commitment to making vegan friendly, and cruelty free products.
What is my candle made of?
Our hand-poured candles are made with 100 % natural wax, and we add only premium UK fragrance oils. We aim to deliver only the best for your home.
Can I make my own candle?
Yes. We offer candle workshops where you can come and create your own natural soy wax candle using pure essential oils. Is soy better for you?
We believe soy is best. It is often considered more environmentally friendly compared to traditional paraffin wax, and burns slower and cleaner (less soot). Our luxury scented products are made using 100% soy wax, and will make a great feature in your house.
Will candle wax come out of clothes?
Had a spill? We recommend allowing the wax to harden so you can scrape off as much excess as possible. Our soy wax is biodegradable so should wash out in a normal cycle.
What wax is vegan?
Soy wax is a vegan option for wax products. Made from the oil of soybeans, soy wax is a natural and renewable resource. It burns cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin, which is derived from petroleum. Soy wax is also biodegradable and free from animal products and by-products, making it an ideal choice for those seeking vegan and eco-friendly candles and wax melts. Other suitable options include coconut wax, rapeseed, and alternatives made from vegetable-based ingredients. We only source from responsible suppliers, so our candles are eco-friendly and sustainable. Our candles come in plastic free packaging also.
